Graduate students, as well as recent Ph.Ds no more than two years beyond the receipt of their doctorate, are invited to submit essays on the topic of "Trollope and His World." Essays must be unpublished, and should be up to 7500 words in length, double-spaced in a 12 point standard font with standard margins.

Additional criteria

  • One paper copy should be sent by mail to the address below; additionally, one electronic copy in PDF or Word form should be sent by email to the address below.
  • To ensure a fair judging process, the writer's name and institutional affiliation must not appear anywhere on the essay itself. The title must appear on the first page of the essay.
  • All essays must be accompanied by a cover sheet, which should include the following information: the writer's name, full contact information (address, phone, email), and graduate institution; the title of the essay; the date (or expected date) of receipt of the Ph.D; and a signed statement verifying that the submission is an original essay by the student writer and that all citations are complete and correct.
